Welcome to Lil Mac D!

Picture
What started off as a little girl's dream has turned into a real life business venture involving her entire family.

We knew we were in trouble when we bought Mackenzie a pony and she asked to trade it for a goat. While Fancy Pants (the pony) stayed, it wasn't long before dairy goats came into the picture.

Dairy goats produce more dairy goats and we soon found ourselves in the goat business.

Mackenzie is the "owner of dairy". She takes care of the "Dairy Divas".  She loves almost everything about dairy goats, especially showing. Showmanship is her favorite class and her goal is to fill her room walls with ribbons. Her favorite breed is a Nubian, which is also the main breed of her dairy.

While Cambrie doesn't enjoy the goats like her sister does, she does enjoy making wonderful treats with their milk. She is the "Kitchen Queen". The little bakery girl helps create some of the best tasting fudge, caramel candy, and Cajeta/ chocolate sauces known to mankind. Her favorite snack: yogurt!
_Long before we actually owned dairy goats, we were hooked on goat milk soap for soothing dry itchy skin and eczema. After many hours of learning and making goat milk soap, the mom created her very own goat milk soap recipe.  She is the "goat milker/ soap maker extraordinaire" at Lil Mac D.

Who keeps up with all the Daniels girls activities? The dad! He is the "CIO, CFO, and lifter of the heavy things" at Lil Mac D.

About our herd...

Our herd health is of the utmost importance and we work very hard to ensure all our animals stay healthy. Our feeding program, vaccine schedule, routine worming, cocci prevention, copper bolusing, testing, and feet trimming reflect our commit to raising the healthiest animals possible.

We are CAE negative and test yearly to ensure we maintain our negative status. While we do not test for CL, we have never had abscesses on any goat at any time. Our herd consists of mostly Nubians, from KJ-Farm.
